Dupont Delrin is a great plastic for turning on a machine lathe. It is easy to turn, but it does require slower speeds. I use this material to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and Acetal rods, both materials are quite durable and easily machinable, as they have very comparable physical properties.
